I work in Indian Country every day and I see the devastating effects of climate change on Indigenous lands and people. One of the reasons I am running for office is because I would like to see a fishable, swimmable, drinkable Oklahoma water system and clean air for all Oklahomans. Here are my top three environmental priorities for Oklahoma:

1. Streamlined and consolidated authority to Oklahoma’s environmental regulating boards to ensure enforcement instead of the current intentional division of power that hinders oversight.
2. Reduction of tax cuts and credits for the fossil fuel industry.
3. Support for clean air and clean water by mandating cleanups funded by polluters and retrofits to prevent pollution in the first place and changing the state’s water use formula to preserve instream flows and aquifer recharge.

I want elevate the voices of our climate change experts and our young people as they advocate for a healthier environment for their future.
